MARKETING TIPS FROM PRIVATE PARTY PODCAST

These dynamic young women are spot on regarding the direction that milennials are taking in 2K17 business!

SWE Blog: What is your company’s mission?

Private Party: The mission of Private Party Podcast is to share our real life experiences to empower, motivate and inspire our listeners. To let others know (specifically young women 18-30) that they are not facing real life issues alone and they can overcome with the help of strong girlfriends and laughter.

SWE Blog: Who or what inspired you to do what you’re doing now?

Private Party: Our life experiences, honestly. Being fed up and wanting to do better for ourselves and in the midst of coming out on the other side, we decided to share our experiences. Mainly, because we knew we aren’t alone and wanted to give others the courage to release any shame, doubt or negative feelings associated with their life story. We wanted our listeners to feel empowered and proud of who they are and the possibilities of a better future.

SWE Blog: Who is your ideal listener?

Private Party: Young women or men. Obviously, women may resonate with us a bit more. The young woman that is coming into her own, learning about the ups and downs of life that no one likes to talk about. The young woman that maybe doubting starting that career or going on dates or standing firm in her standards/expectations.

SWE Blog: What are three keys to marketing a brand that the ladies of Private Party live by?

Private Party:

• Authenticity – unapologetically being ourselves because that’s the value that each of us brings to the table
• Storytelling – sharing our experiences and telling a great story that will leave you crying, laughing and everything in between
• Consistency – creating a schedule to let our listeners know what to expect from us and when, and delivering on that to leave listeners always wanting more.

Private Party: This is a time where we really have the power and access to share our voice and shape the type of life and message we share with others. We have power, and we can share that power via social media, live events, features on great sites such as yours, etc.

SWE Blog: What advice do you have for a millennial that has a great business plan but doesn’t have the capital needed to begin?

Private Party: Don’t be discouraged and be extremely resourceful. Use the resources at your local organizations. Such as the Small Business Association, local government offices, such as economic development, Chamber of Commerce, local colleges and universities – all can lead you to the money. The easiest resource is social media. You can find anything right at your fingertips, just be clear about what your vision or goals is and keep working until it’s accomplished.

SWE Blog: What do you want your legacy to be? How do you want to be remembered?

Private Party: We want to be remembered as a dynamic and dope group of strong black women – that despite popular belief have been able to put our strengths together to support one another as we achieve a common goal. We want other women to know that your past experiences do not define you or the outcome of your life. We want to be an example to other women that any idea can manifest itself into real life success, but most importantly you can get there by being true to yourself and owning who you are. Flaws and all!

SWE Blog: What do you do first when stepping into the room at an event?

Private Party: Depends on the event and the day really lol.

SWE Blog: We almost forgot! We network over an espresso. What’s your favorite Starbucks drink?

Private Party:

Khadijah- Double tall caramel macchiato
Ash – Vanilla Chai tea latte with coconut milk
Tasha- Doesn’t drink Starbucks
Kiaya- Caramel latte
